A Passionate Engineer Greatly Missed

Created by Eric 3 years ago
I feel privileged to have known Guy for many years and to have learnt so much from a master engineer willing to share his passion. Looking at his superbly helpful books I realize the Weber carburetors on the front cover of his first book are parts I traded for some of his excellent camshafts long ago when he was in Kent. I was one of the many hopelessly ignorant customers in awe of his skill that he patiently gave his time and knowledge to. Guy told me I don’t build engines I build fun for owners to enjoy. He provided Fiat Lancia fun for owners all over the world, was loved for it and will be badly missed. I will miss the engaging and friendly chats on many subjects over Guy’s specially made coffee in his fascinating workshop. Few people in the world had the skill to solve the engineering challenges Guy took on with incredible ability and pure hard work. The world has lost a great man and I have lost a friend I will remember with great warmth. May he Rest In Peace.
