I was lucky enough to have known GC for the past 11 years when i first came into contact with him thru work.
Funnily enough whilst at University i had seen some of his books before, i was then privileged to meet the 'Guy' behind the books.
On the odd occasion i visited GC in his workshop and we also worked together on quite a few projects like Lancia Supercharger drives & oil pump scavenge setups.
We spoke alot on the phone and he always asked how the family were and we engaged in many deep conversations about plans, projects and life.
Last year we visited a site in France on Guy's behalf that he remembered visiting as a child after causing some mischief, when he visited with his parents.
I saw GC only a few months ago and it was great to have a 1 on 1 chat with him and it was great.
He will be sadly missed, a good friend and a most excellent engineer.
